A New Year: New Mindset

One of the most powerful and creative tools God constructed is our mind. Our mind is so impressive, because whatever we choose to mediate upon will manifest.  If we think unjustly or justly our thoughts will affect our feelings and perception, then eventually become our reality. Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…

It is obvious that the Devil and evil men are trying to control our minds. Just consider the evil messages from the media and the negative conversations and images on social media. Despite this we must have the mind of Christ. We must be determined to speak, think, and do God’s Word. Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

We must choose not to have a “common sense” mindset, but to have a renewed mind. If so, God will not only keep us in peace, but He will bless us beyond measure in our families, careers, and health throughout this year.

If the people of God choose to reject having a renewed mind and choose to think like the world, trouble will be on the horizon.  God never intended His people to think like the world or like a common man.  We must be bold in our thinking, talking, and behaving according to God’s Word.  Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

No matter what the Lord allows His people to face this year, we must keep God’s Word in our heart and own our mind.  When we do so our God will keep us in perfect peace!  The peace of God is what I want and need…..what about you?  Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
